The purpose of LMD is to foster a learning and networking experience amongst leadership across all sectors of public works focusing on program and project management, leadership development, human resources management, succession planning, infrastructure asset management, customer service, and program/project financial planning. The Division promotes development of mid-level and senior-level public works leaders as well as mentoring opportunities for rising leaders. Built around a rich history including families in the experience at our conferences, the Leadership and Management Division members have fostered long-standing friendships through acquaintances at the annual conference event. A mixture of leisure (through a conference kick-off golf event), social, and education, as well as business networking, focused on timely topics and program themes have made the LMD Conference a can’t miss event for public works officials and their partners from the engineering and vendor services industry.
